A great finding at Facebook
Hello, I am very happy to find a group interested in develop de RLO concept. I am very happy also because the RLO concept that they explain on this brief introduction matches with the concept we have been working for the last two years on a LO network in Colombia.
We defined LO is a digital, self-contained, reusable entity with a clear learning aim that must contains at least three internal editable components: content, instructional activities (learning activities), and context elements. As a complement, the learning object should have an external component of information which helps its identification, storage, and recovery: the metadata.
We are now fighting for creating a clear identification of LO as open educational resources because we believe that, first, knowledge is a world´s patrimony and second because this is a good way to ensure, or at least, to facilitate LO reusability.
I understand that they propose that reusability is based on using pedagogical patterns that supports a certain “knowledge layer”, and this certainly facilitate to make changes in the information stored on this layer. I have a question I would like to ask about pedagogical patterns. How could you know efficiency of a proved pedagogical pattern remains when learning context or content change?

Learning Objects are on the way.
I want to emphasize a phrase:
“The diversity of resources that are now within reach of the educational communities and the multiple combinations among them generates an infinite repertoire of strategies that suitably used can transform the learning process taking it beyond the classrooms. In order to obtain this, it is necessary to surpass the simple use of the ICT like a mechanism in order to improve productivity and to look for information, and take control of the tools for collaborative work and exploration of learning objects. “
It seems that we go well, right?
